This is one of the two Carol of the Bells I synchronized for the 2006 Christmas season. It is a softer version of the bells, bluegrass style.
I looked far and wide to find this song. I listened to literally hundreds of "Carol of the Bells" and this one was refreshing and light everytime I listened to it. It was to be the corner stone of an acoustic/folksy set. This one made it (Dolly Parton's "Deck the Halls" would have been in this set too), the others never got sequenced.
This was the first song that I sequenced for the lights. I was not sure how many colors and strings I was going to have. I had a preliminary plan, but of course once the display got off the ground those changed. One later addition was the color blue, this song does not have any blue turned on. While it would be nice to use blue in this song; it does give some more variation to the overall set.
One fun note: If you read the comments on youtube you will see one from a Darrin Vincent. While I hope that this is the real Darrin, there were some inconsistencies with his youtube profile and myspace profile. The best that I can hope is that a Darrin Vincent liked it well enough to comment :)
